OK, rephrasing the question: How can I make use of syslog to get a
warning *automatically* (I don't want to make a manual check). It may
not really be a fetchmail question, but I'd be very greatful for help
- I was clueless after reading the syslog man pages (and I *will*
suggest a fetchmail man page contribution).
Have a look at logcheck (www.psionic.com). That is designed to notify you
about syslog entries.
