Digest: if you implement XXXX, as currently specified, you don't have to
support an rfc934 mode.  However, the syntax as specified allows someone
to support that, if they wish.  As such, it's not a big issue.

Sound: it is important to have at least one standard for
interoperability.  You call them .snd files.  I call them .au files.  As
long as we agree on what they look like, and this is standardized, I too
am happy.
