The most convincing thing for me would be to see some actual
traffic on this list in MIME format that uses MNEMONIC to
type in some real stuff. Do some umlauts, a-rings, what have
you.
Frankly the quoted-printable stuff is ugly, esp. since it
turns perfectly good = signs into nonsense. If you have
something better - please - use it!
Best thing would be a sample message showing a full alphabet
and a bunch of names of familiar networkers in their proper encoding.
Otherwise, it's just a big harangue - "this is better" - "no this
is better" - win people over by force of example, not an extended
diatribe.
