[I find myself agreeing with the rest of what you said.]

Further, either the proposal or I am missing something: How can the
sender of a messages indicate that she _herself_ doesn't want to
receive any further replies?

Reply-To: nobody(_at_)[]

(yes, I know it's ugly.)

Not only ugly, anyone responding to a message containing that will
likely receive a bounce because [] doesn't resolve. Here's what my
sendmail respond:

i7QLVOlD007422: to=<nobody(_at_)[]>, delay=00:00:01, xdelay=00:00:00,
mailer=esmtp, pri=120331, relay=[], dsn=5.1.2, stat=Host unknown (Name server:
[]: no data known)
i7QLVOlD007422: i7QLVQlC007432: DSN: Host unknown (Name server: []: no data
known)

I don't think this idea should be recommended.

Thanks,
