Re: [Asrg] A method to eliminate spam

How would a newsletter sender find out, if he tried to send a mail to an unsubscribed user or to an user who has forgotten to whitelist the sender yet?

The white list exchange, as covered in my overview, works like this:

List subscriber obtains the address of the E-Mail list distributor from a web site(Ex: news(_at_)cnn(_dot_)com). List subscriber sends a subscription request E-Mail to the list's address. This sending of E-Mail places the address news(_at_)cnn(_dot_)com in the white list of the list subscriber.
The mailing list attempts to send an E-Mail to the list subscriber.
The mail host sees that news(_at_)cnn(_dot_)com has been added to the white list and allows mail to be sent without computation time.

Keep in mind, as covered in the overview, white lists do not exclude people from sending mail to an end user, but rather slows the ability to rapidly send mail to unknown persons.
