No, you are wrong.  Digital signatures are used to assert 
identity.  Digital signatures are verifiable and unforgable.

Hint:  CNN does not use digital signatures to identify any of its
outgoing mail at the present time.

Unless you have a plan to change that, your scheme isn't worth the
electrons it is written on.
