HD> I know what I am talking about. I was working for the largest german
HD> domain and web service provider, hosting the DNS tables for about
HD> 70% of german domains.
Please recite your experiences with Malaysian ISPs, US ISPs, Bolivian
ISPs and Tunisian ISPs. They, too, must accomplish adoption before the
proposed mechanism is useful.
Never mind ISPs. No one with the least clue about commercial sites
outside Germany would claim anything like the other person's claims.
It's more accurate to say that most DNS data are broken, at least
outside Germany. Given my fairly recent experience with people
configuring DCC clients and servers in Germany, I've doubts about
his claims about Germany.
For another view, look at page 19 in
http://www.fruug.org/Archive/2002-12/cricketDNS-2002-12.pdf
and notice that Cricket Lui measured an error rate of 41% in
zones in domains in .de.
