  i.e. You're looking up IP's, not domains.  So this proposal *cannot*
be implemented by updating DNS for a domain, there *must* be a global
registry.

  ??? it requires updating records in a nameserver.  How does it differ
from "host -t MX 10.1.2.3" ?
