It doesn't mean it's spam, but if there's no way to tell it apart from
spam, then it may as well be spam.
That's absurd. Most anti-spam technology uses a whole multitude of
techniques to test for spam.
Most partially successful technologies, which make probabalistic
guesses.
Note, that you said 'test for spam', rather than 'identify spam', since
there is no perfect 'test' for spam, short of authenticated methods.
I pity your users if you're marking as spam
all email from domains that do not have SPF or equivalent records. I
can't for a second imagine that they will remain your users for very
much longer.
You seem to be confusing discussions about solutions to spam,
architecturally, with current implementation of anti-spam systems. This
is a research group - I'm not talking about what "I do for my users
today" - I'm talking about "what needs to be solved in the Internet mail
systems".
