The base name often points to a web site.  That would be a problem.

FWIW I spot-checked some of the ones I know about, as I was  
writing that
note, and came up empty.  But lack of evidence doesn't really mean
anything, and thus I made that note about a website.

Which violates the BCP fwiw. :-)
