Not any more. Gotta pay attention, dude.
To my astonishment, the .org registry has already made refunds
financially unattractive and ICANN's in the process of fixing the rest
of them by making part of the fee non-refundable. The number of
refunds is already down something like 87% from what it was earlier
this year.
I was actually sitting in the room in Paris when the ICANN BoD passed
this in June. I just wasn't certain if the changes had taken effect
yet, hence my allusion later in the note that changes were afoot.
And as I said there are more issues to be taken up.
Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose?
