Re: [ietf-dkim] list config, was Admilistrivia question

What world calamity is created by removing the footer?

This list would be a great source for developers to do exploration and
testing as we did early on until footers were added thereby breaking the
integrity of the DKIM mail. The test bed and resource of various DKIM
signing domain was now removed.

I propose this plan:

1) Remove the footers until Dave can add DKIM standard support. This will
give developers an early opportunity to begin R&D and a Test Suite #1
planning since a major part of the development is correctly reading of the
headers and getting the canonicalization correct.

2) When Dave adds resigning logic, it will serve as a dual signing R&D
resource bed and Test Suite #2 planning opportunities.

Either that or add DKIM support and resign the broken DKIM signed
messages
on the list.

Once there is a DKIM standard, having the list sign messages is a swell
idea. Until then, we'll leave the list alone.
