Re: [ietf-dkim] Jabber session this Thursday 1500 UTC

I've been using Exodus for this IETF Jabber exercise. The first time
you reported a problem several weeks ago, you indicated using a
different server. I randomly selected one, borderlinenormal.com,
created a login account, and have not had a problem joining the DKIM
room.

Sorry, Steve, but I do not know of any problems with Jabber/xmpp
technology, and its overall track record for IETF use has been
excellent. Further the range of free client software seems quite
good.

The problem we are having is operational, with a donated service.
(And, by the way, it's rarely been a problem during IETF week, so
this is not a case of reaching some sort of limit.)

If you know of other problems, what are they?

I keep seeing reports here of people being unable to
join the jabber chats.

Previous attempts by other groups I've been involved
with to use jabber have had those too, along with
people being unable to create jabber accounts.

(I've also not found a decent jabber client for OS X
that's stable and has the functionality I'd expect.
Suggestions welcome.)

Cheers,
   Steve
