Michael,
This is an excellent plan.
However, it is important to note that we also need feedback from the IAB
(and others)
on the efforts that we have done to consider their requirements.
In this case there is a new section in the model document that discusses the
IAB requirements, we need feedback from them on that, on the list.
Furthermore, there is the Virtual Private Content Network drafts that also
reference the work that is being done by Hilarie Orman, we need feedback
from the IAB (and others) on it.
I would encourage that feedback before the Slat Lake City meeting. The
feedback must go on the list.
My worst nightmare is that the meeting is transformed by hackers into an
OPES bashing session that ends without having any progress.
In this case it is preferable to come out with a set of points that need to
be discussed on the list first. This is then norrowed to a specific agenda
items that are then considered in the meeting.

Subject: IAB document
OPES followers.
Understanding the issues in the IAB document is THE critical
goal of the
upcoming OPES meeting in Salt Lake City.
We all wish to go forward and "become official" and I believe we need
to understand the issues and work though them in our charter
and plans.
There are many requirements that apply outside of OPES that
were stimulated
because of the discussions around OPES. Topics impacting OPES
and other
areas will be discussed during the Thursday night plenary. In
out meeting
we are focusing on OPES, these concerns, and how we will
address time.
Certainly, we will not solve all the problems (particularly
security ones)
in the meeting but we will identify the suitable requirements
and work
items for us to meet.
See you all there.
Michael
