I believe this is result of the AOL lawsuit.  So the BIG spammers do look
for these SPECIFIC words and will drop their connections once seen.

Have you ruled out the possibility that some popular spamming software simply
gets confused and blows chunks if it sees a 220 banner in a funny format?
