So far, the nits raised about the ABNF mostly haven't required changes
in the text. Nor have the textual changes been requiring changes in the
ABNF.
A serious overhaul of the ABNF would require verifying that things match
not only the text, but the previous pseudo-ABNF. And where there are
still issues involved with the text, I think it would behoove us to take
care of the issues that would affect the ABNF before tackling the ABNF.
I think tackling the ABNF as has been proposed would be worth doing;
however, in many senses it's really "low hanging fruit". My preference
would be to get the issues taken care of before cleaning up the ABNF.
