Or the MTA could sore it.  Make it available via some URL that can be
forwarded.  No need for support in the MUA if the MTA can do it.

The MTA has to cache the message in non-volatile storage anyway.  With
the price of storage now, holding it for 24 hours (or more?  36?)
might well be doable.
