As far as I know, every MTA that adds a Delivered-To: header records an internal
version of the address and uses it for loop detection.
Here's the one that gmail put on, for a message it delivered to me:
Delivered-To: dcrocker(_at_)gmail(_dot_)com
That looks surprisingly like the public version of my gmail email address.
While saying 'internal version of the address' sounds quite special,
there is, as of yet, no example that has been provided, to show what
makes it different from a regular email address, nor any technical
detail provided that makes clear what needs to be supported, but is not,
in the current draft.
Elaborations and, well, technical details, continue to be eagerly sought.
