perhaps the wireless guys could teach us something - some blank out
noise over the link to conserve bandwidth, and re-introduce 'comfort
noise' at the end point. if we filtered email noise at the list root,
no doubt someone would develop 'comfort spam' and 'comfort virii
announcement' scripts so that people who want it can generate
their daily dose of random email noise locally.
