not really true.  back then, those who used it tended to tout the fact.

that's the real question, and the difficulty is making the assessment when one is in the middle of the activity. my own sense is that v6 remains a thoroughly fringe activity. That is, it has a very, very long way to reaching critical mass.


now. Availability doesn't guarantee use, but lack of availability
guarantees non-use.

correct, as long as one does not misunderstand, and think that availability is a goal. it is a necessary intermediate step, but of no direct utility.
