So when will vendors recompile their apps for multihoming? 
Right after 
they're done recompiling them for IPv6?


It will be the same step, because the only reason they would be recompiling
for IPv6 is to accomidate customer demand. Since the larger customers that
might create demand are almost all multihomed, that will be a primary
feature in the porting effort.
