Alain Durand proposed in 2002 :
- NAT64 for IPv6 -> IPv4
- NAT46 for IPv4 -> IPv6
This has IMO the following advantages :
- different acronyms for IPv6 -> IPv4 and IPv4 -> IPv6 (They are really
different in operation and in purpose. IMO NAT64 is necessary, while
NAT46 is not and has problems of its own)
- NAT64 is more intuitive and self explanatory than NAT+PT.
Would you agree on that kind of proposal ?
