I think one main argument against "Five" would/will be it's "inefficiency" 
from a very first, historical and theoretical view onto it. IPv4 and 6 
addresses fit "exactly" binary structures which are widely found in hardware 
(32/64bit) - but i know, the praxis could be more or less another story 
today...

And if i read correctly, do you used the IPv4 specs widely and "just" added 
the "fifth field" / 8bits, which at least some of us still had in mind some 
times in the past too ß)
  
Do you have any working setup or implementation anywhere? Or a small howto for 
implementing a own test bed with open source stuff?
