I suppose, but how many of the people who wrote the broken code would
have paid attention if it said YOU MUST SET THE BIT TO ZERO AND THEN
IGNORE IT YOU MORON.
it is our job to write clear specs which folk can follow and implement
in ways that interoperate. where they don't, it's our fault for being
unclear. calling them idiots will not improve their implementations.
clearer and unequivocal specs may.
