That is because these are NOT attachments according to email standards.

It is possible to configure Outhouse to send mail in more Internet
friendly ways, although it takes a bit of work.  You will have to ask
people to configure their mailers for talking to the Internet as opposed
to merely conversing with other Outhouse users.
