Then you'd probably need a message-id to filename index, and still have
the same problems :-) Admittedly, it'd probably be easier to generate
this index than a more complex one.
One thing I tend to do is mark important messages in another sequence,
so I can just "scan seqname" to get a shorter list of messages. This
of course means you need to know what's important when you read it, and
doesn't make general searching any easier.
