Many of the lightweight sendmail replacement programs
will grab address from the message header to determine
recipients, and this behavior is undesirable for nmh uses.
This is a very important point.
Also, if you want to use features like future delivery (RFC 4865),
deliver-by (RFC 2852), or message tracking (RFC 3885) you pretty much have
to do your initial submission via SMTP (typically authenticated on port
587).
