system iconv can do, or what they mean. e.g. does Solaris's iconv
handle Adobe Symbol encoding so perl/Tk can use it (via perl) to use
glyphs from the symbol fonts?
The X11 standard fonts will in the foreseeable future anyway be
available in ISO 10646 directly, with no further application-level
conversion necessary. Adobe Symbol will be merged into Adobe Times (for
which it was designed). Pre-release of all this already available on:
http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/ucs-fonts.html
So don't worry about Adobe Symbol conversion tables for Tk. It would get
the phi/phi1 and many other problems in the fonts wrong anyway.
