When you say you 'pop' mail, I assume you mean that you're using some
popclient software. How is *that* configured to deliver mail? Unless
it is handing it off to sendmail, procmail will never get invoked.
Thank you Hal for the tip. I was at a loss on where to look for the
problem. And yes, I am using a popclient software. And with some
investigation, I found that the popclient software DOES not hand off the
mail to sendmail, it uses 'mail'.
Someone recently posted the solution they used -- they changed the
source of their popclient software to use procmail for local delivery.
(Sorry, I don't remember who.)
The only solution to this problem that I can see (right now anyway)
would be to replace 'mail' with procmail. However, I may run into some
problems with this. So, maybe the person who found the solution to this,
will read this post and respond. Again, thanks for the help Hal.
