Does anyone on this list successfully use the EXITCODE approach to
basically pretend that the mail is undeliverable?

I really don't think this will get you off spam/uce lists, because  
I don't think they pay that much attention.  But you are welcome to  
try.

Hopefully their software will scan for daemon errors in order not
to waste time in future mass mailing. Dunno.
