I know that FROM_DAEMON tries to catch most bulk mailings defined as mail

Where is the guideline that outlines what set of rules one way and two way
mailing lists should adopt?
Official guideline? Hmmm... I don't if such a thing exists, but...
I want to educate some mailing lists that don't use formal mailing list
software on how to format their message headers.
1. Have them add the following field to the header of every submission:
Precedence: list
It's the commonly accepted way to identify mailinglist distributions.
2. Possibly have them use a -request address as the *envelope* sender
address of the outgoing messages.
3. Make them add a Resent-From: field.
Point 1 is the most important, point number 2 would be prudent, point
number 3 is optional, but would be the finishing touch.
Also, if it's a mailinglist that allows submissions, it's desirable
that existing headers on submissions are *minimally* altered and passed on.
