They are the likliest people in the universe to be able to figure a
complicated procmail script out. That is the whole point. Does everybody
here understand how all the bits of SpamBouncer go together? There are a
whole lot of recipes posted here that I don't understand, but that doesn't
make them off-topic.
You are clearly missing one important point here:
There is no mailing list set up for SpamBouncer (at least that I am aware of).
If there were, then it would be correct to post them there, rather than here.
It goes back to my illustration about comp.unix.* groups. Just because you
can make an argument for more than one group does not mean that you should
post to more than one group.
SmartList is a *specific* group of procmail recipes, put together for a
specific reason, with a specific list to deal with questions. If Alan
started his own list for people who don't understand his procmail library,
and I kept posting here about it, I would expect folks to say ``Why aren't
you going to Alan's list with this?''
Unless the smartlist list is cancelled by the admin, that is the place where
questions should go.
