Hello. I've spent several hours trying to get
procmail to work out of the box with no success,
is there something special for sendmail that
has to be done by the sysadmin?
I've added a .forward:
...
| /usr/bin/procmail
...
And a .procmailrc:
...
MAILDIR=$HOME/mail
LOGFILE=$MAILDIR/procmail.log
:0
*^Subject.*test
test-output
:0 c
all-mail
...
Here are my permissoins:
...
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cce cce 20 Jul 8 14:43 .forward
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cce cce 108 Jul 8 14:41 .procmailrc
drwxrwxrwx 2 cce cce 1024 Jul 8 14:47 mail
...
In the mail directory, no files are created, and
if I create sample ones with 777 permission
(including the log file), still... nothing
happens.
My test is to send mail to myself using "test"
as the subject.
One suggestion, was that "smrsh" was causing
problems, but I put a symbolic link from
/usr/bin/procmail to /etc/smrsh/procmail,
and still no go.
Any Clues?
I could use the help!
Thanks Tons!
