Re: RH 6.0 out of box?

1999-07-09 08:05:26

How would a person other than the admin of a machine tell if
RH 6.0's sendmail was configured to use procmail?

I'm asking because I've been trying to get procmail to
work on a system I'm web designing for and the sysadmin
has been no help.

Here is some misc info.
I've checked all permissions on .procmailrc, ~eveoke (home dir) etc.

I've tested procmail using procmail < /tmp/msg and it appears to be
working fine.

But, procmail does not seem to be getting called
by sendmail because any mail sent just get's deposited in the
INBOX and procmail.log is untouched.

Its running RH 6.0
<SNIP>
% uname -a
Linux void.gloom.org 2.2.9 #6 Fri Jul 2 03:20:13 PDT 1999 i586 unknown

% ls -ld ~eveoke
drwxr-xr-x   9 eveoke   eveoke       1024 Jul  9 07:40 /home/eveoke

% ls -l .procmailrc
-rw-------   1 eveoke   eveoke        163 Jul  9 07:40 .procmailrc
<SNIP>

Here is .procmailrc
<SNIP>
ORGMAIL=/var/spool/mail/eveoke
LOGFILE=/home/eveoke/mail/procmail.log
VERBOSE=on
SHELL=/bin/csh

Thank you for any and all help you can provide.
