Re: I cant get started with procmail

When I put some other mail address in my .forward file it is getting
forwarded.
So I assume my MDA is using .forward file.

I have tried with the exact path of procmail in .forward file.
This is bugging me. So much time wasted, and no improvement at all.
I dont have any logs, and it doesnt bounce back also, it goes to the mail
admin as undeliverable.

Am I missing some thing.
This is one of the mails sent by my admin.

I installed procmail in my home directory.

I have

in the .forward file.

Unless /usr/local/bin is your home directory (highly unlikely), you'll
need to put the actual path to procmail in your .forward.

If mail is delivered normally (instead of bounced) with that .forward,
then the .forward probably isn't being read anyway, and there are
other problems... is sendmail your Mail Delivery Agent? .forward
is for sendmail; other MDAs may have other methods.

Hope that helps,
Stan
