2) The logfile entries generated when LOGABSTRACT=all will be different
when a duplicate comes in. If VERBOSE=on then the output will differ
greatly depending on the recipe.

I'll respond to the rest later as i don't have that much time right now,
but with this added to my procmailrc:
LOCKFILE=msgid.lock
:0fhw
* ? $FORMAIL -D 8192 $LOGDIR/msgid.cache
{
nl
nl = ${notice+"$NL"}
notice = "$notice${nl}X-Note: Message-ID seen before recently."
}
LOCKFILE
Then i'll get this in my log:
procmail: Assigning "LOCKFILE=msgid.lock"
procmail: Locking "msgid.lock"
procmail: Executing "/usr/bin/formail,-D,8192,/home/rejo/.log/msgid.cache"
procmail: Program failure (1) of "/usr/bin/formail"
procmail: No match on "/usr/bin/formail -D 8192 /home/rejo/.log/msgid.cache"
procmail: Extraneous filter-flag ignored <<----NOTE
procmail: Assigning "LOCKFILE"
procmail: Unlocking "msgid.lock"
Is this marked line a result of one of those flags? I can't imagine
which one is wrong. Anyone has some clue's for me, please?
