I am using the example from procmailex for setting up a vacation recipe.
The recipe works fine, but I would like to change the From address on the
vacation email.
When procmail sends out the email, the From line reads like From:
jak(_at_)domain(_dot_)com - because that is how my account is setup on the
box. But i
would like for it to say From: Jon(_dot_)Keller(_at_)domain(_dot_)com
Is this a procmail thing or Sendmail rulke thing?
Who should see which address? If everyone should see
<Jon(_dot_)Keller(_at_)domain(_dot_)com> then you probably need a sendmail
'generics'
table. If just you, you can do it with a formail invocation as someone
else already pointed out. If sendmail rewrites <jak(_at_)domain(_dot_)com> into
<Jon(_dot_)Keller(_at_)doman(_dot_)com> and you want anyone else to see the
long address
then you'll *must* tweak sendmail.
