Re: Attempt to fake stamp by - any news?

On Wed, 11 Jul 2001, Philip Guenther suggested to Alexander and I:

} >>    /usr/bin/procmail -Y -a $DOMAIN
[instead of:]
} >     /usr/bin/procmail -o -a $DOMAIN -d $LOGNAME
} >
} >Why did you suggest to dump -o and add -Y?
}
} More crucial is the dumping of the "-d $LOGNAME" option. Since procmail
} is running as you already, entering deliverymode via -d is only a
} liability.
[snip rest of explaination]

A belated thanks, Philip, for suggesting this. I was finally able to get
the time needed to restart postfix and impliment this. However, all e.mail
addressed to user 'root' now ends up in user 'nobody''s mail spool. All
other users are unaffected.

Why should the above change create this effect?

Thanks again,

/vjl/
