When Timothy advised Matt,
L> ^TO and ^TO_ both include the .* so including it is unnecessary, and in
L> fact screws things up
Paul asked,
C> How does it screw things up? Isn't the regex /.*.*/ the same as /.*/ ?
The expansions of ^TO and ^TO_ end in things that are, for most uses,
*better* than ".*", so adding ".*" weakens them. [Sometimes you want to do
that, but not in the recipes Matt is asking about.]
