I've installed procmail on a mailserver (v3.15.2) and it is not setting
permissions properly when it encounters filtering rules in either the
global procmailrc or a user's .procmailrc. The mailfiles are still owned
by root instead of the correct user. Procmail is installed setuid. Here's
a look at what the files look like after mail has been put into a specific
folder.
mail folder:
[root(_at_)redline mail]# ls -la
total 20
drwx------ 2 chris chris 4096 Jul 15 17:07 .
drwx--x--x 6 chris chris 4096 Jul 15 17:06 ..
-rw------- 1 root mail 633 Jul 15 17:07 test
-rw------- 1 chris chris 503 Jul 3 09:40 saved-messages
-rw------- 1 chris chris 503 Jul 3 09:40 sent-mail
my .procmailrc entry
:0:
* Subject:.nothing
/home/u1/chris/mail/test
Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
