Thank you DTamkin, that was a fix.
Now, after checking every single character it seems to work, but no errors
in log. But no autoreply to senders are sent out at all. I also checked
our maillog, no replys. I found this code on numerous websites. I will
have to check our own sendmail, formail...

Hmm. There's a space after the backslash. You might have one on the line
before that too. That keeps the backslash from functioning as a continuation
indicator.
