I'll take the blame for translation tables, recursive
INCLUDERCs, and inverse DeMorgans (with their support from
the empty-braces no-op), and for the terms "regional lockfile"
and "putative newline" (though not for the ideas they
designate), but I won't own up to that one, because it's not
right. You have to count the newlines as well.
