Tony,
I?m beginning to see how the middle east crisis can
exist for so long with all the misunderstanding.
I re read my email that I sent out about deleting mail
and I think that I may not have made myself clear. I
was not commenting on the fact that the recipe didn?t
delete the mail that I wanted to get rid of. The
emphasis of my query was that it didn?t delete or
perhaps I should have said handle the right addresses.
e.g. those of my domain but not valid users. At least
when I put it in my sand box did didn?t seem to do
this. It was a good recipe and helped me move forward
in my knowledge of the use of Variables etc.
By the way I?m NOT asking you to do any more work on
this as I have taken up enough of peoples time. I am
working on a solution and if I succeed will share it
with the group.
As far as novices and /dev/null I appreciate that
people may want to be careful with recipes they put
in the news group, I think that is admirable and fair
enough. I suppose my argument is however ?buyer
beware?. It would be foolish to just take something
and presto make it company wide. I know that there
are people who are foolish enough to do this, I?m not
kidding myself, but still I think that especially
with reasonable documentation e.g. ?This will send
mail to oblivion? is a reasonable response. Just an
opinion.
Thank you
Regards
