Thank you for your detailed response.
I implemented what you suggested less the caching the senders address to
not send another auto response part.
I just want to take it one step at a time.
However for some reason my autoresponder is not working at all now?
Here is one of my procmailrc files contents.
SHELL=/bin/sh
:0 c
* ! ^FROM_DAEMON
* ! ^X-Loop:[ ]*customer\(_dot_)service(_at_)elvisplace\(_dot_)com
* ! ^Precedence:[ ](junk|bulk)
* ^To:.*\<customer\(_dot_)service(_at_)elvisplace\(_dot_)com
| (formail -r -I"From: customer(_dot_)service(_at_)elvisplace(_dot_)com" \
-A"X-Loop: customer(_dot_)service(_at_)elvisplace(_dot_)com" ; \
cat .vacation.msg) | $SENDMAIL -oi -t
Could you please tell me what I did wrong to make my auto responder stop
responding.
FYI, I am trying to get the autoresponder to respond to an email sent
from another address. Not an email from the same address.
Thank you
