In your procmailrc, set:
LINEBUF=65535
Or other large value.
Something peculiar happens when a recipe BEFORE the spamassassin call
blows the buffer. Procmail doesn't die, but still runs spamassassin, which
then dies relatively silently, and the exit status is fed back to
procmail, which then also dies silently, and leaves sendmail to deliver
the mail to your inbox by default.
I was lucky enough to discover this when it only happened for my users
with large pre-SA whitelist rules.....
