If it was 'from' a local account, where was it being sent TO?
The 'var/spool' thing may well be because of mail going to 'postfix', but
the mystery then becomes why is it being directed to postfix?
Could it be that a system failure is triggering a warning e-mail to the
postfix owner?

Charles,
I apologize. I guess my reply yesterday either was to a different group
or didn't make it....
This issue was resolved. There had apparently been an alias dropped into
the /etc/postfix/aliases file that had the very same account name and
was routed to another box.....took it out of the aliases file, did a
newaliases, and all was well.
Thanks so much for the reply.
Chris
