Speaking of TRAP, exit codes, etc., if I set an exit code of, say, 1
for a certain condition, would that exit code not bounce mail (under
anybody's mail system)? I do not wish to bounce the message in the
scenario I have in mind, but I do wish to set exit code, either via
TRAP, or via EXITCODE in procmail, to non-zero in a certain case. Have
people played with this at all? (And what about negative numbers?)
I note also that the man page reference to TRAP does not mention what
happens if TRAP sets a different exit code than was set (or not set) in
the recipe itself.
I was trying something like the above, and I thought "99" or "98"
might be safe in that I didn't expect them to bounce mail. But
at least 98 bounced messages when somebody tested this for me
on another system.
