I -think- What Klaus illustrated is really the way I want to go,
although I haven't tested yet.
We have many "pseudo-users"--email addresses that don't directly correspond to
real users, but might eventually be read by a human. I use the method suggested
by Klaus to process these, where each entry in my /etc/aliases file has a line
like this:
nobugs: "|/usr/bin/procmail -m LOGFILE=/tmp/procmaillog \
VERBOSE=off AUTO_RULES=yes NOBUGS=yes \
/etc/spam/bdti.rc"
Within the generic bdti.rc file I set the few variables I need to ensure
correct processing of email.
It works quite well for me.
