Lots of mail clients choke on it.  :( No surprise that Microsoft
chokes on its own creation. :)

so we simply strip it from the email.

There are other things you can do.  Google, or see for example

The problem comes when a second file is attached.  Demime is
stripping both files.

If you use mimedefang you can do whatever you want with the parts
individually.  And you can do lots of other useful stuff too.

I realize that this is a procmail thread, but was hoping
that a little leniency would be granted

OK by me, but we'd better not make a habit of it. :)
