No, the swap space is hardly used even at that "high load times".

Can you see whether the i/o to one of the two RAID arrays is higher
than the other? That might also point in the direction of swap or user
space....
The I/O is near 100% on both RAID arrays.
Somehow i think there might be an issue with the combination imapd <-> xfs
in some situations...
Maybe i should try another imap deamon. Has someone experiance with dovecot?
